Tell us a little bit about yourself.
I am a professional dancer/choreographer. After being a college professor for many years, I am now on the faculty of the professional academy, San Antonio School for the Performing Arts. I teach ballet, pointe, and Cunningham-informed modern dance, and choreograph for the resident company, Alamo City Dance Company. I hold an M.F.A. degree in Modern Dance Choreography and Performance from the University of Michigan, and a B.A. in English Literature with a concentration in Creative Writing. I am on the first re-write of a memoir for several literary agents, and am working on a volume of poetry. I have many diverse interests such as hiking and camping in the National Parks, shooting handguns (I own more than thirty), running marathons, crochet (really!) and dining….I am a real “Foodie”. I will never be set in my ways, and the day I don’t try something new will be the day that I pass on.
What brought you to the Bikram yoga practice?
I originally came to Bikram Yoga in Houston, through a friend and fellow dancer who was living with HIV with the help of his practice. When my dance program was shut down by the college, I moved to San Antonio and found that I finally had enough time for a regular Bikram Yoga practice. There is no loss without some gain!
How often do you practice?
I practice every day and sometimes twice a day!
What specific physical issues, if any, did you have before taking your first class?
When I began my practice at BYSA, I had a swelling injury behind my left knee that prevented me from sitting in fixed firm, and a painful tightness in my right leg that prevented stretching. I had had the latter for about four years. Happily, after just five months of Bikram Yoga, both conditions have resolved themselves!!
What are the greatest benefits of your practice?
The greatest single benefit of my practice is the inner calm I feel when dealing with the stresses of everyday life.
How has this practice changed your health and life? Any emotional or other benefits?
The practice has so improved my live, both physically and emotionally, that I am committed to attending the teacher training program in the fall, and making Bikram Yoga a large part of my life.
What is your favorite part of Bikram yoga?
My favorite part of Bikram Yoga is the feeling of “giving in” to the practice rather than trying too hard or forcing the poses. Everything comes with time. I really love all the shining people I have met through Bikram Yoga. It is good to be on the path with everyone here.

Tell us a little bit about yourself.
I am originally from south Texas. I moved here to San Antonio a little over 3 years ago. I enjoy good weather, good food, and of course Bikram yoga.
What brought you to the Bikram yoga practice?
I started practicing Bikram Yoga by chance. A friend asked me to attend a class thinking I would enjoy it… And I did!!!!
How often do you practice?
I aim for 4 times a week, but I’ve been known to practice up to 10 times a week!
What specific physical issues, if any, did you have before taking your first class?
Well when I started I didn’t think I had any physical issues, now after practicing for 2 years, I realize my weight was a huge issue.
What are the greatest benefits of your practice?
I really enjoy the physicality of the practice. I always leave class thinking I have done so much good for my body both mentally and physically.
How has this practice changed your health and life? Any emotional or other benefits?
I have actually decided to dedicate my life to this practice. I am really looking forward to attending teacher training and traveling and instructing. This practice has brought so much good to my life; I really have yoga to thank for a lot.
What is your favorite part of Bikram yoga?
It is the best 90 minutes of my entire day: Mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

Tell us a little bit about yourself.
I was born in Rome, NY, and graduated from Boston University 23 years ago with a degree in Physical Therapy. I LOVE being a Physical Therapist and specialize in treating patients with neurological disorders and amputation. I also perform therapy chart reviews for Medicare and Texas State Practice Act compliance. I have been married to the man of my dreams for 15years (who is quite the hottie, I might add), and together we have a precious eight-year-old son. We love to camp, fish, hike, swim and just hang out. Our faith in the Lord has been the glue that keeps our family strong.
What brought you the Bikram yoga practice?
I started going to BYSA when a friend of mine invited me. I agreed to go since I gave up running to try and protect my joints from the constant pounding.
How often do you practice?
I now practice 4-6 times per week, usually 5 times (all early morning classes).
What specific physical issues, if any, did you have before taking your first class?
I didn’t really have any physical issues before starting BYSA. I did lack flexibility and wanted a form of exercise I could do on a regular basis without causing repetitive trauma to my joints. After starting, I realized I was also not as strong as I thought I was. (I got MY huge slice of Humble Pie.)
What are the greatest benefits of you practice?
I have improved in my flexibility, strength and posture (my winging scapulae are not as pronounced as they use to be). I am still waiting for my “yoga butt”, though! Also, the sanity this yoga brings by allowing me to take early classes and get into town before traffic starts is PRICELESS!
What is your favorite part of Bikram yoga?
The teachers. The feedback they give, to help me improve is much appreciated, and the humor so many of them bring into class is awesome! (Who doesn’t love a good one liner at 5:30am?) I also love the students. I have met many wonderful people “suffering in silence” right alongside of me…no judgments, no competition, just occasional glances of support. Favorite postures: Standing Separate Leg Stretch…if I am lucky and touch my forehead to the floor, I get the coveted sweat-wipe while I’m there. Also, Balancing Stick…who doesn’t just LOVE a mini heart attack first thing in the morning?

Tell us a little bit about yourself.
I am a nephrologist (kidney doctor). I have been exercising before work almost daily for years. I used to run, including many marathons, but since I’ve been injured, I go to yoga. I have two daughters both living outside this country. One lives and works in London and the other is a Peace Corps volunteer in Guatemala.
What brought you to the Bikram yoga practice?
3 years ago, I came back from a 10 day cycling trip with lower back and hip pain. I could not do my usual exercise routine.
Resting and massage didn’t help. A massage therapist recommended yoga. I didn’t think I could do much without the heat, so I came to Bikram.
How often do you practice?
I try to practice 5-6 times a week.
What specific physical issues, if any, did you have before taking your first class?
It was mostly my back and hip pain which are much better now.
What are the greatest benefits of your practice?
My strength and flexibility have improved and I have been able to maintain some degree of conditioning in spite of no longer running.
The surprising benefit though is how much more calm I am.
How has this practice changed your health and life? Any emotional or other benefits?
I am more relaxed and less judgmental of myself and others.
What is your favorite part of Bikram yoga?
My favorite part is having it done for the day and how good I feel regardless of how much I could do during the class.
I am thankful for having found this yoga and for all the teachers that make it possible.

Tell us a little bit about yourself.
I was born and raised in Natchez, Mississippi. The 5th of 6 children to a single mother, my Shero, Josephine Jones. I am the Performance Director for Tops in Blue, the Air Force’s Expeditionary Entertainers. I have lived in San Antonio for 7 ½ years. I moved here from New York City in April of 2004. I love to travel and spend quality time with friends. One of my favorite things in the world to do is LAUGH!!! I LOVE LIFE and have a true passion for living…not existing…LIVING!!
What brought you to the Bikram yoga practice?
Honestly, I was at a Japanese restaurant waiting for a meal “to go”. While waiting I walked next door to a Vitamin Store. While there I picked up a local paper and started flipping through it. A writer for the paper had attended a Bikram Yoga class and wrote a very extensive article about his experience. He spoke about how hot it was and how difficult it was and immediately I wanted to try it…and that I did!! Lisa was my first instructor and Steve my second I’ve been hooked ever since!
How often do you practice?
Well, I just finished my 60 day challenge in 56 days!!! And I just started the Turkey Clause Challenge, so right now I am practicing EVERYDAY and LOVING it!!
What specific physical issues, if any, did you have before taking your first class?
I suffer(ed) from Cluster Headaches which are debilitating when I have them. The Yoga has really taught me to get as calm as I can, get as quiet as I can and simply breathe. It definitely helps! Also, tight hips, lower back and shoulders from playing tennis and running track for so many years.
What are the greatest benefits of your practice?
Learning to stay calm and understanding that EVERYTHING IS NOT A CRISIS!! We seem to get so amped up about things that don’t really matter in the GRAND SCHEME of life…my newest motto…”It’s just not that serious…” it really keeps things in their proper place. The way I react to a person or an issue says more about me than the person of the issue.
How has this practice changed your health and life? Any emotional or other benefits?
It has really taught me to take care of myself better and even put myself first again. I spent a lot of years really focusing on work and others and I was slowly getting lost in the mix of it all. While doing the 60 day challenge, in order to do all of my classes I had to start practicing at 0530, 0545 and 0600 and I noticed that I was having some very energetic days because of it. Taking care of myself before doing anything else in the day made all the difference in the world. I am also more patient with myself and more forgiving of myself…always moving forward. “It ain’t that serious…you fell out of the posture…get back in and keep going.”
What is your favorite part of Bikram yoga?
I LOVE TO SWEAT!! I LOVE the peace it brings. I LOVE the discipline practiced inside the room that helps you outside of the room. I LOVE the amazing friendships I have made and the great support from my fellow yogis. AND, the fact that I work SO hard and get immediate benefits! I am thankful to God for bringing me to this practice. I am a better man for it and I am thankful that Steve and Lisa have worked so hard to create such a great environment for us all to practice in!!
AND LET THE RECORD SHOW…I HAVE NOT GIVEN UP ON MY DREAM TO ONE DAY BE A BIKRAM YOGA INSTURCTOR!

Tell us a little bit about yourself.
I am originally from Gonzales, Texas. I moved to San Antonio 6 yrs. ago to pursue my career in research. Currently I am a study coordinator at the Cancer Therapy and Research Center working in Hematology. I need to be constantly challenged, or I will get bored.
What brought you to the Bikram yoga practice?
My boss Jerry Medina, heard about Bikram and wanted to try it, but did not want to go by himself. He asked me to go with him. I did. Thinking one class sure…I can do that. Little did I know that after one class I would be hooked; two years later and still going strong.
How often do you practice?
6 days a week, no excuses.
What specific physical issues, if any, did you have before taking your first class?
I did not have any physical issues before my first class, other than extra weight. I am still working on that.
What are the greatest benefits of your practice?
The rush of energy I get after class; especially when I do an early morning class I am wired for the rest of the day.
How has this practice changed your health and life? Any emotional or other benefits?
My yoga practice has taught me how to be more patient. It has showed me how to clear my mind and just let go.
What is your favorite part of Bikram yoga?
There are two things that I love about Bikram yoga. One that I am never bored, every class is different with new obstacles to surpass. But my most favorite is having the opportunity to spend 90 minutes in a hot room with the greatest teachers and students.

Tell us a little about yourself.
I came to San Antonio via the United Stated Air Force, where I spent 6 years in the Far East and the United Kingdom. I am originally from Gary Indiana. I met my wife of 28 years, Dolores, in Okinawa. In my spare time I enjoy cooking, fine dining, playing golf and listening to music. I am very fortunate to lead a great group of Systems Engineers at Cisco Systems.
What brought you to the Bikram yoga practice?
I overheard a few people at work talking about trying Bikram Yoga. I never heard of it at the time. Finally a colleague of mine and I decided to stop at the Hollywood Park studio to see what it was about. That was in March of 2010. Shortly after my trail period, I purchased an annual membership.
How often do you practice?
I try to average 5 days per week.
What specific physical issues, if any, did you have before taking your first class?
Many injuries from Basketball and Football; ankle, foot, lower back and leg pain.
What are the greatest benefits of your practice?
I feel great after class, have increased my strength and flexibility and can hit the golf ball farther than I used too.
How has this practice changed your health and life? Any emotional or other benefits?
I feel great both emotionally and physically. I have learned to be more patient. I sleep better. I tried taking some time off from yoga after a back injury and that made things worse. With motivation from my wife and fellow Yogi’s, I got back into the hot room and have not looked back.
What is your favorite part of Bikram yoga?
I have had a chance to visit a few Bikram Yoga studios outside of San Antonio and have to say the BYSA team is the best. I love the camaraderie in the room, each instructor motivates in their own way and I always learn or am reminded of something in class. I want to thank Steve for working with me to modify some of the postures so I could get back into the room. Lisa is very motivational when teaching class and this reflects on every instructor.
My current favorite posture (the one I hate the most) is: Standing Separate Leg Head to Knee Pose. What an awful posture!

Tell us a little bit about yourself.
I just turned 40 in June, when I finished my last challenge! I am a single mother of 5 kids, 1 boy and 4 girls. Bikram yoga is definitely my stress relief from the demands and challenges of raising 5 kids. My kids know that I try to practice every day and they have realized that it is the glue that keeps their mom together. I have been practicing for about 18 months and it really helped me through the most difficult time in my life-my divorce. I love coming to class everyday and never knowing exactly what to expect. I can honestly say every single class is differently depending on my mood, body, the instructor the energy and I just love that. You never know what to expect! But I have learned to accept it good or bad and I think that is the best lesson in life no matter what kinda day you are having. Tomorrow is always another day, another class, accept it…be at peace with it and continue your day!
What brought you to the Bikram yoga practice?
A friend of mine told me about Bikram yoga when I had knee surgery. I could no longer run 6-8 miles. The doctor said if I continued to do that I would need a total knee replacement in 3 years. I have no meniscus or ACL in my right knee. I had chronic pain and swelling in that knee, even after surgery. Bikram Yoga has completely changed that. I no longer have pain in that knee. So basically I came to Bikram Yoga to fix my knee. But it had no idea how it was going to fix my life. With everything so chaotic in my life, many of my friends asked how I was able to stay sane and not flip out. I tell them that I have found my inner peace. Bikram Yoga has truly led me to my inner strength and my inner soul. It has given me the tools to find the calm in the storm…no matter what situation!
How often do you practice?
I try to practice 6-7 times a week. It is part of my day…period! If i am outta town, I try to find a studio wherever I am visiting-that is always pretty interesting!!
What specific physical issues, if any, did you have before taking your first class?
Again, my physical issues was my right knee.
What are the greatest benefits of your practice?
Benefits of the practice are a healthy mind and body. People that have known me have commented that I seem so calm. I can honestly say that I just don’t get worked up about stuff anymore. What I can’t control…I let go of! That I definitely learned in the hot room!! That has to be the best lesson I have learned…what you can’t control you must let go, accept it and move on!!! An Amazing life lesson!!
How has this practice changed your health and life? Any emotional or other benefits?
Bikram Yoga has changed the way I look at life and people. I have become more accepting, forgiving and peaceful of others and myself! I definitely believe that had I not found Bikram yoga, I would have been on some kind of antidepressant. But I can honestly say, it is the best medicine. It’s like walking into therapy, without saying a word!!
What is your favorite part of Bikram yoga?
Best part of Bikram Yoga are the awesome instructors!! They are all Amazing!!! Sometimes in class it’s what they say or how they teach, or the energy they bring to the class that when I leave, I think, wow…I needed that! How did they know?!?! Each and every one of them are so inspirational!! When I travel and go to different studios in different parts of the country, I leave thinking that Bikram Yoga San Antonio has the best studios and the best instructions…period!! I truly feel blessed to be taught by such an Awesome group of people!! The quote that applies best to them is something I heard the other day…” To the world you may be just one person, but to one person, you may be the world!” They all make the world of Bikram Yoga an incredible place to live life!!

Please tell us a little about yourself.
I am married and have two lovely children: the oldest is my son Jacob, who is 23 and in college at Texas State, and my 18 y/o daughter Kaitlyn, who just graduated from high school. I have a wonderful husband of 23 years and they all support my Bikram yoga obsession. I am a teacher and have been teaching in the Judson ISD for 13 years with Pre-K students and love it.
What brought you to the Bikram yoga practice?
My friend Monica Segura told me about Bikram, and I thought she was crazy the way she described it as hot, intense, and challenging. I decided to give it a try one day. It wiped me out, but despite that it felt therapeutic.
How often do you practice?
In the beginning I could only handle class 3 times a week. Then, last summer, Virginia Carrillo said she would do the 60 day challenge with me. Since then, I make every effort to go everyday. I feel I need Bikram daily to feel good mentally, and physically. I even look for Bikram classes when I travel! For example, last summer I went to Paris and was able to practice my Bikram for 3 days.
What specific physical issues, if any, did you have before taking your first class?
My job requires an enormous amount of bending, twisting, and squatting on a daily basis, resulting in back pain and stiffness. Doctors have told me I have arthritis. Bikram definitely helps me manage my aches and pains.
What are the greatest benefits of your practice?
For 90 minutes I focus on my physical and mental well being with no interruptions, or distractions. The heat detoxes, the postures strenghten muscles, compress organs and stretch tendons. I am surrounded and encouraged by like-minded students and teachers. I believe the benefits will change and continue for many years to come.
How has this practice changed your health and life? Any emotional or other benefits?
Last year our house was flooded in 4 feet of water and Bikram has helped me cope with that and the other stressors of life. I feel like I am mentally detoxing during class.
What is your favorite part of Bikram yoga?
Sometimes I go to class with aches, pains, low energy and mental stress. I leave feeling detoxed, reenergized and calmer. I also like seeing my yogi friends each class.

Please tell us a little about yourself.
Former mechanical/software engineer turned bodyworker. Ran track at UT and competed in middle distance and triathlon semi-professionally. I do injury treatment for university and post-collegiate athletes using Active Release Techniques (ART) and deep massage. Love helping people heal and get back to expressing themselves through their sport. Moved back home to San Antonio in 2007 after a couple of decades in San Francisco and Eugene, OR. Love the TX heat and humidity!
What brought you to the Bikram yoga practice?
Both Stevan Falk and Lisa Ingle came in to try a treatment last summer. Steve got me thinking and Lisa was even more persuasive of course! Had my first class with Lisa instructing and loved it.
How often do you practice?
Over the winter was practicing pretty much every day– did a 120 day challenge. Once my University track season work got going and traveling with the teams on the weekends a bunch, cut back to about 3 or 4 times a week.
What specific physical issues, if any, did you have before taking your first class?
Was fortunate to not have major injuries from running and triathlon, along with 10+ years practicing deep tissue massage (thanks in part to receiving good deep massage and doing plenty of self-treatment similar to what Steve Falk teaches). Was, however, very tight especially in the hips, front of the body in general and had horrible back extension. My forearms, elbows and shoulders were also tight thanks to my profession.
What are the greatest benefits of your practice?
My knees/hips/hip flexors, back extension, chest and shoulder/elbow flexibility have come a looong way in less than a year with Bikram yoga. Feel stronger and i have more endurance giving ART and massage treatments thanks to the flexibility and strength in the elbows, forearms and wrists. Can work a 12 hour day and survive!
How has this practice changed your health and life? Any emotional or other benefits?
I do feel a calmer perspective. When potentially stressful situations arise, i think back to the concept of what we can handle in the Hot room with all that coming at us. Also, this practice has helped heal the toll i took on my nervous system training for running and triathlon while doing lots of demanding physical massage.
What is your favorite part of Bikram yoga?
The physical and emotional rush similar to a hard run interval workout! The love and acceptance of the instructors and students for everyone who comes in the Hot room. Also, the never ending challenge to keep improving the postures and the stillness in-between!

Tell us a little bit about yourself.
I’m a partner at Drenner & Golden and have practiced commercial real estate law for 13 years. I also manage a non-profit, DaisyCares, that I started last year that helps needy families with pet food and vet care (www.daisycares.com). My husband, Scott, is the best dermatologist in San Antonio (no bias of course!), and we have 4 dogs that are the loves of my life!
What brought you to the Bikram yoga practice?
I’ve always been very injury prone and was hoping to reduce pain.
How often do you practice?
If I’m lucky, 4-5 times a week.
What specific physical issues, if any, did you have before taking your first class?
I’ve always suffered from knee pain, back pain and tendonitis in my arms.
What are the greatest benefits of your practice?
Peace of mind! : ) While I love the challenge of the yoga practice, and that I feel great after practicing, it’s the only time in the entire day that I can find relief from stress. I also adore and love the entire BYSA staff, and Lisa is truly my hero! They are the best people in the world. : )
How has this practice changed your health and life? Any emotional or other benefits?
After I practice, I’m in a much better mood all day long. I also find that I suffer fewer injuries with a regular yoga practice
What is your favorite part of Bikram yoga?
Savasana, of course! : )

Tell us a little bit about yourself.
I’m a software development manager at Rackspace. My wife Lauren and I love Bikram yoga. We also love food, cooking it and eating it. We love going to local restaurants with friends and drinking lots of wine, although we’ve been drinking and eating less since we started going to Bikram yoga. There’s only so much punishment I’m willing to accept for my gluttony. We have two dogs, Buster and Tuck, and when we’re not at yoga or out with friends, we’re couch with the dogs watching TV or reading.
What brought you to the Bikram yoga practice?
I started Bikram yoga in June 2010 after signing up for a Groupon earlier that year. Before that I was doing yoga daily for about two years at home. I was looking to start practicing other types of yoga to see what else was out there. If it wasn’t for the Groupon, I might not have started. I had a lot of apprehension about the heat. In the past I was never really a fan of being hot, now the day’s not really over unless I lose about 3 pounds of water weight.
How often do you practice?
I’ve been practicing Bikram about 5-6 times a week, and every now and then I even convince myself to do advanced on Saturdays.
What specific physical issues, if any, did you have before taking your first class?
Around the same time I started Bikram I got into a car accident and hurt my back. While the back pain is still with me, the stretching and strengthening that Bikram does for my back definitely helps. I’m hopeful that by the time I can do full camel I’ll be completely cured.
What are the greatest benefits of your practice?
There are so many benefits to doing yoga it’s hard to count. I think a couple of my favorites are the stress relief and the endorphin rush after class is over.
How has this practice changed your health and life? Any emotional or other benefits?
It’s definitely changed the my daily eating and drinking habits. I can now be seen at all hours of the day carrying a giant water bottle with me wherever I go. I also try not to eat meals that are too heavy before class. The term “electrolyte” has taken on new meaning and I’m constantly looking for ways to cram more of those little suckers into my diet. As far as benefits, I wouldn’t say for me that they’ve gone to the emotional or spiritual level yet, but I definitely think that it does put me very much in tune with my body. It started out gradually, but the more I go to Bikram yoga, the easier it is to identify the tiniest variation in how I feel, whether it’s a lunch that was just a hair too big, or an hour less sleep than usual. Yoga highlights every detail. There are also the obvious physical benefits of improved strength, flexibility, and balance.
What is your favorite part of Bikram yoga?
I like how it’s always the same, yet it always feels different.

Tell us a little bit about yourself.
My family and I are from Shreveport, Louisiana. Jennifer and I moved to San Antonio three years ago with our daughter and son so I could pursue a dual-specialty residency in prosthodontics (tooth replacement) and orthodontics at the Health Science Center. As far as previous athletic activity, soccer and ice hockey were my sports growing up. Running and indoor soccer were my main athletic vices prior to finding Bikram. I like piña coladas and getting caught in the rain.
What brought you to the Bikram yoga practice?
I dabbled in ashtanga before a friend relayed her tale of a 90-minute hell session at Bikram. After my first class (taught by Casey), I was hooked.
How often do you practice?
Depends on my schedule, which varies by semester. I find I need a bare minimum of three classes per week just to maintain my current state. Four to five classes and I’m golden. The most consecutive days I have taken class is 21. At that point, the challenge to go every day seems to become more logistical as apposed to physical..
What specific physical issues, if any, did you have before taking your first class?
My specific issues are musculoskeletal in nature, partly due to genetics and partly due to a life of high-impact exercise. Chronic lumbar pain, degenerative disc disease, scoliosis – a junked back in general. Also, an operated right knee that would spontaneously dislocate upon maximum flexion of my leg. Reducing the dislocation is always a party.
What are the greatest benefits of your practice?
The lumbar back pain, which would range from a chronic nuisance to acute episodes that made shoelace tying a challenge, is GONE. My knee rarely dislocates now, only sometimes during toe stand. And of course, the mental and emotional aspects are a great benefit as well. Additionally, my wife and I meet up at the Huebner studio for the 11:30 class on Thursdays, which is fun for us.
How has this practice changed your health and life? Any emotional or other benefits?
Hatha yoga (Bikram, specifically) has helped me finally enjoy a life free of joint pain. I can also maintain my desired fitness level without engaging in the other sports that were breaking my body down. Most importantly, it has improved my mental focus and increased the time I spend “present.” As my practice progresses, I seem to experience more intermissions from mental noise. Overall, I’m less of a pain in the ass for my wife to deal with.
What is your favorite part of Bikram yoga?
It’s a safe environment in which I can try to kill “myself.” Oh yeah, and savasana, of course.

I have been married for 43 years and have two children, two granddaughters and two grand-dogs. We moved to San Antonio four years ago from Iowa to be near our family. Since then, our son, his wife and our grand-dogs have also moved to San Antonio so we have a busy family life. We love San Antonio and enjoy being away from the snow and ice.
My sister, Teresa Roth, introduced me to the ‘torture chamber’ when I moved here. I have been practicing Bikram yoga for a little over four years. I practice five days a week and after a few days off, I am always ready to start again. I am fortunate that I do not have any physical issues and I don’t take any medications. My doctor said she hopes she looks as good as I do when she is my age. I have always been active my whole life with running, walking and biking.
The greatest benefits of Bikram yoga are the strength, balance and concentration that have taken me four years to acquire. With each practice, I feel I continue to improve. At first, the heat, postures and listening to the dialog was overwhelming. Now, I know the breathing techniques and holding my stomach in which are VERY IMPORTANT.
Bikram yoga has helped keep me healthy, alert and strong. I feel, as one gets older, it is very important to keep your mind and body strong.

I was born in Athens, Greece and grew up in Rome, Italy. I was lucky to learn three languages growing up and picked up English and Spanish after I moved to the States in 1983. I have lived in San Antonio for the last 20 years and have been practicing pulmonary medicine for the last 8 years. I grew up playing lots of sports—tennis, swimming, soccer, triathlon, skiing; I used to ride my bike to school every day through the center of Rome, about ten miles each way. For the last ten years, I have considered myself mainly a cyclist and have done many road races, including completing twice in “La Ruta de los Conquistadores,” a four-day mountain biking event through Costa Rica –(that is considered one of the ten hardest endurance events in the world).
What brought you to the Bikram yoga practice?
As a cyclist, I always had back and lumbar problems from sprinting and climbing efforts. After my first La Ruta race in 2006, I felt destroyed. My fellow teammate Chris Arrhus told me about Bikram yoga. As cyclists, we never stretched; the saying was “you warm up in the first 10 miles of the ride” and if you have pains, you ride easy the next day! As the years went by, I did more and more yoga and less cycling.
How often do you practice?
Currently, I practice 4-5X a week, including advanced yoga on Saturdays when I am not on call.
What specific physical issues, if any, did you have before taking your first class?
I have bad knees from recurrent dislocations and lumbar issues as well; sometimes I get neck stiffness from stress at work.
What are the greatest benefits of your practice?
My body does not limit my moment by moment choices. My mind, I am still working on! The goal is “union” after all.
How has this practice changed your health and life? Any emotional or other benefits?
I think that yoga epitomizes the ancient Greek philosophy of a healthy mind is a healthy body, “mens sana in corpore sano.” The daily benefits are that I never get angry or frustrated at work or when stuck in traffic; I feel well almost every day and my asthma and allergies are better. I also found out that I can ride once a week and still keep up with my fellow racing cyclists who ride 3X a week. My back issues are all but cured. A few weeks ago I stretched my right lumbar area a little too much during advanced yoga and had the worst back spasms I’ve had in a long time; I did beginner’s yoga every day for five days and the pain and stiffness were gone—much better than any anti-inflammatories I tried. Yoga has also helped me with my relationship with my parents and Tamara. I am usually a very calm person, but my mother used to get under my skin sometimes; lately I have learned to appreciate her more and tolerate her temper. Some of you know that Tamara and I have had our differences in the last few years, but the yoga has stabilized our love and relationship.
What is your favorite part of Bikram yoga?
Yoga with your loved ones is one of the best experiences in life. I love doing yoga next to Tamara (it goes by so fast) and sometimes my daughter joins us for advanced yoga. I love the yoga family in San Antonio and one of my favorite times in yoga was when we were practicing advanced all together for the competition: the San Antonio team really gelled together and we all had a great time. I appreciate the focus, concentration and meditation that comes from regular practice and that you can apply to the rest of your life. My favorite recovery drink after yoga is a well deserved Belgian beer! Cheers,

I grew up in El Paso and moved to San Antonio after graduating from Texas Lutheran University in Seguin. I work as a Math Specialist at an elementary school in the Northside district, so I have the pleasure of working with Kindergarten thru Fifth grade students. Prior to becoming Math Specialist, I taught fourth grade at the same campus. I have a pretty determined personality– if I make up my mind to do something, it’s pretty certain to happen. I recently adopted a stray dog that was on campus at the beginning of the school year. Her name is Ginger and I find myself constantly laughing and smiling at the funny things she does.
What brought you to the Bikram yoga practice?
I’m lucky to be friends with ReBeca, one of the great BYSA teachers. When I first met her, she was not yet an instructor, but practiced Bikram regularly and always talked about its benefits. It was clear how much she believed in the yoga. Plus, it clearly kept her in great shape. So, when she invited me and another friend to class one day, I decided to try it, although I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. My first class is now more a less just a blur, except I clearly remember Lisa being a bundle of dynamite and providing a great energy to the class. I loved the experience, and within my intro period, I bought a summer package and began taking class pretty regularly. That was five years ago now!!!
How often do you practice?
There are times when I’m able to practice 5-6 times a week, but sometimes my schedule gets the best of me, so I’d say on average, I manage at least 3 days a week.
What specific physical issues, if any, did you have before taking your first class?
I really didn’t have any major physical issues. I’d been involved in competitive sports, like soccer, since middle school, and was still playing on a club team and thought I was in decently ok shape. But in class #1, I realized how tight my hamstrings were. And when triangle arrived, my hips were like WHAT?!?!
What are the greatest benefits of your practice?
For me, the greatest benefit is the peace and the stress relief I get from class. I know that I first often held my breath when I was in a difficult posture. But once I learned to listen and actually breathe thru a posture, it made a HUGE difference. So now I try to remind myself of that outside of the yoga room, when things get tough and overwhelming.
How has this practice changed your health and life? Any emotional or other benefits?
The yoga has given me an awareness of my body and mind. I’ve gained greater self-confidence and have become more comfortable in my own skin. In the 60-day Challenges I’ve done, I’ve seen how well I can do when I clearly lay out a goal for myself. Likewise, I’ve seen that sometimes I have to go outside my comfort zone to make that goal happen.
What is your favorite part of Bikram yoga?
I love how I feel after class, so I know if I can just get myself to class, everything else will take care of itself. I love the welcoming, community-like atmosphere that BYSA embodies. Even if we don’t all know one another, I love the group energy that is created during class. BYSA is truly like a family, and I’m so lucky to be a part of it! J

My name is Robin Morgan. I am 51 years old and have been happily married for 30 years. I love being a mom to four precious kids. I work part time as a Wedding Coordinator and my husband and I have an inner city ministry in San Antonio.
What brought you to the Bikram yoga practice?
I was invited by a friend (Cathy Merrill) who knew I was having serious health issues and nothing else was working.
How often do you practice?
I come 5-7 times a week and ever so often I go crazy and come 14-15 times a week.
What specific physical issues, if any, did you have before taking your first class?
I have a liver disease and bad knees from being a marathon runner.
What are the greatest benefits of your practice?
The greatest benefits for me have been 1) My knees do not ache near as bad as they used to….I can actually walk. 2) My health (liver) has improved tremendously and 3) I have been able to lose weight when nothing else worked.
How has this practice changed your health and life? Any emotional or other benefits?
I came in and talked to Lisa and she assured me yoga would help me with my health issues. I waited a whole year before I came back contemplating the cost and distance. (Boerne) I was a marathon runner and always had control of my health (so I thought). About 7 years ago I gained about 50 pounds and started feeling really bad. After many doctor visits and test, they discovered I had NASH. This lead to metabolic syndrome, glucose intolerance, and insulin resistance-which all mean major weight gain. They told me I had to get the weight off to help the liver. I tried everything but nothing worked. I started yoga two and a half years ago and have lost about 30 pounds-A POUND A MONTH. It has been long and hard-but well worth it. If I skip yoga I can tell a big difference in the way I feel. It truly helps me get all the toxins out of my body. When your body is full of poison it is hard for it to work the way God intended. With a lot of prayer and a lot of yoga the Doctors are amazed at how much my health is improving.
What is your favorite part of Bikram yoga?
My favorite thing about yoga is the way I feel after I have completed a class. I love the instructors and the way each one pushes me in their own style. I love the other yogis I have met. And I love the way I am personally greeted each time I walk through the BIKRAM YOGA SA doors!

What brought you to the Bikram yoga practice?
I was first introduced to Bikram yoga during my residency when I was living in New York City. A nurse practitioner mentioned that she had the best workout ever and came away with the greatest sense of well-being. I was immediately drawn to try it out; perhaps it could alleviate some of the aches and pains I was beginning to feel as a result of working long hours. I only had time to get to a few classes here and there, but I knew that Bikram yoga was something I would want to continue to practice. Five years ago I moved to San Antonio and that’s when I began a regular practice.
How often do you practice?
I try to maintain a consistent practice, 2-3 times a week, or as much as my schedule will permit.
What specific physical issues, if any, did you have before taking your first class?
Knee and lower back pain. All gone!
What are the greatest benefits of your practice?
Focus, concentration and patience. I have found that if you are able to consistently work at improving 26 difficult postures in a very hot room, and not get frustrated or upset, then you tend not to lose your cool in the outside world either. It takes strength of mind not to reach for a wipey towel or not fidget when you’re practicing Bikram yoga. I think ultimately I strive just to keep it simple, and just do what the dialogue tells me to do, which is often difficult to maintain through 90 minutes. I have had so many experiences where my posture has come undone from slightest shift in attention.
How has this practice changed your health and life? Any emotional or other benefits?
I think I am able to be a better problem solver, and I get less anxious or panicky in stressful situations.
What is your favorite part of Bikram yoga?
There is always a second chance. Some may feel that it is double the torture to have to do postures twice, but psychologically I feel that it is a positive exercise to be able to “try again”. It helps me to be able to practice persistence and patience.
What has been your experience with the Advanced Class and Competition?
For me Yoga is an intriguing combination of toughness and grace. The advanced class has pushed this idea even further, and I think it has helped me improve my regular practice. On a personal level, the competition came at a good time. This past year was very difficult for me as my father died suddenly almost a year ago. He supported anything I did to promote my health and fitness, and he always asked me how my yoga was coming along. The beginner’s classes helped me cope with my grief over this past year. Now the advanced classes and preparing for this competition is an opportunity to show myself and my loved ones that I have emerged from this year a little stronger and perhaps a little more graceful than I have ever been before.

Tell us a little bit about yourself.
I am a wife, mother, grandmother, sister. I enjoy playing golf with my husband several times a week. I am a better yogi than golfer, but I apply my “yogi powers” and visualize golf as a “practice” which enables me to disregard the score card! I read several books a week.
What brought you to the Bikram yoga practice?
I had been practicing yoga at home for two years (BKS Iyengar) and my English bulldog determination was flagging!
How often do you practice?
Five days a week
What specific physical issues, if any, did you have before taking your first class?
None, or so I thought! Then I had my first class…with Liz! My body was totally out of balance in strength and flexibility. It was hard to stand with my heels and toes together…keep my palms together “like the glue”…control my breath…My first class was like child birth. I was not sure how much the human body could take!
What are the greatest benefits of your practice?
My body does not limit my moment by moment choices. My mind, I am still working on! The goal is “union” after all.
How has this practice changed your health and life? Any emotional or other benefits?
I feel that I am aging gracefully. My life is in no way restricted by physical limitations and that brings me great joy. It is true that a consistent practice makes you bullet proof, etc., and with that comes confidence, optimism and peace.
What is your favorite part of Bikram yoga?
How do I love thee? Let me count the ways: the warm greetings each time I come into the studio, the surprise of seeing who will be teaching, the heat, the breathing, the asanas, the slight physical or mental improvement when you least expect it, the personal corrections and encouragement from the teachers. Although the dialogue and asanas remain the same, our fantastic teachers keep each class interesting and challenging because they, too, love the yoga.

Tell us a little about yourself.
I am 51 and the proud mom of my 23 year old son, Erik. I have been an educator for 20 years and am currently a high school counselor. What I love most about my job is offering support to young students as they tackle everyday challenges. I’m also blessed to work with a group of professionals who are my second family.
What brought you to the Bikram yoga practice?
I was curious about the practice of yoga. My son encouraged me to walk in the yoga studio and inquire.
How often do you practice?
I try to practice at least 3 to 4 times a week and typically every day during holiday breaks and summer breaks.
What was your exercise background before Bikram?
I took aerobic classes for several years at a local gym. I also did weight training, running and hiking.
What specific health issues, if any, did you have before taking your first class?
Fortunately, I have been healthy all my life. I have had some weight issues but the yoga and better eating habits have helped with that.
What are the greatest benefits of your practice?
One immediate benefit is how my practice has improved my posture. When I first started my practice, I remember lying on my back and placing my fist between my lower back and the floor. I think that’s called sway back. Six years later, I can barely slide my open hand underneath. I also have an easier time holding my stomach in and standing straighter.
Another benefit I have gained from my practice is learning to listen more attentively both inside and outside of the yoga room. Sometimes I get ahead or behind of the teacher. I’ve learned that it takes discipline, obedience and patience to follow instructions. These are habits I try to transfer and utilize outside of the room.
How has this practice changed your health and your life?
I’ve begun to search more earnestly for spiritual answers to life. I attribute this quest due to changes in my life. One of the changes is the mental and physical strength I have gained in my practice.
In addition, the practice of yoga was partially responsible for rejoining my church after 35 years of separation. There are many days that I grapple for answers, but I tell myself not to give up life’s challenges. This is one of the things I first learned in the yoga room.
Any emotional or other benefits?
Sometimes I let my mind get ahead during my practice. While I’m in one posture, I think about all the other postures that follow and how I may not make it. When this happens, I stop and tell myself to concentrate only on what I’m doing. Take one posture at a time. I try to apply the thought process of taking one step at a time to the personal and professional challenges I face everyday as well. As a result, I feel less overwhelmed.
What is your favorite part of Bikram?
My favorite part of Bikram is being surrounded by unique people who come together with a unified purpose to improve their quality of life.
Anything else you would like to add?
I want to thank Lisa, Steve and the awesome instructors for their dedication to the Bikram practice and to their students. Their faith in the practice of yoga as well as their enthusiasm and encouragement make the 26 postures feel fresh and new each time I practice. That is amazing to me! It is an honor to be selected Yogi of the month.

Tell us a little bit about yourself.
I am a mother of twin 12 year olds, Scout and Charlie, and three dogs. During the day I am a teacher for NISD, certified for the regular classroom and for special education. I work with mostly emotionally disturbed children, but I also teach social skills to the general population at my elementary school. When I am not working, I love to practice Bikram Yoga, ride my bike with the kids, cook, and read.
What brought you to the Bikram yoga practice?
My mother! She has been practicing for several years. At the end of September she asked me to call her everyday to make sure she was going to the studio. She then asked me to go with her to try it out. I worked up my courage for a few days, and then went for ten days straight. I was hooked!
How often do you practice?
I have most recently been practicing 7 days a week! I took a week off and am aiming for 5 days a week now.
What was your exercise background before Bikram?
Pretty nonexistent. I would sometimes go to the gym and use an elliptical machine. We ride our bikes to the grocery store all the time, but that’s not even a mile from home! I was an athlete in another lifetime, but since I had the twins…
What specific physical issues, if any, did you have before taking your first class?
I was overweight, lazy, stressed out, and slightly depressed! I’m still fairly young, 39, so I had no major issues, yet. However, I have never been flexible, which was why I was reluctant to go to a yoga class.
What are the greatest benefits or your practice?
Getting rid of stress! This by itself has affected everything! I have lost weight because I sleep and eat better (I’m sure the sweating helps too!). I have more energy and my skin looks better than ever! The weight loss and clearer skin are the two things people comment on the most, however, it is the changes mentally for me that have been the greatest benefit.
How has this practice changed your health and life?
I am happier, lighter, and I can touch my toes.
Any emotional or other benefits?
The emotional benefits are probably the most significant for me. I feel emotionally stronger. I am more confident or maybe just less worried about what other people think about me. I feel better about myself now than I have in twenty years! Since I am not that physically fit, Bikram constantly challenges my determination, making me both physically and emotionally stronger. My twins also reap the benefits of a calm mom.
What is your favorite part of Bikram?
That’s an easy question: The people! I love my Bikram yogi friends. I have met so many amazing people through the studio. All the instructors are so wonderful and encouraging. It makes me so happy to see everyone and I feel honored to practice with such fabulous people.
Anything else you would like to add?
I feel really honored to be chosen as student of the month. I want to thank all of my yogi friends and instructors for the encouragement. Thanks to Lisa and Steve for making me feel at home and making such a fabulous studio. Also, a special thank you to my mother for bringing Bikram into my life!

Tell us a little bit about yourself…
I am sixty-four years old and an Attorney practicing transactional real estate. My wife, Laura, and I have two daughters.
What brought you to the Bikram yoga practice?
We were having dinner with yogi Charlie Hanor in February 2009. I told him I had been in a winter funk and needed a change.
He said, I have something for you–Bigram Yoga. I did my first class the next afternoon and I have kept coming back.
How often do you practice?
I try for 3 times a week, sometimes 4
What was your exercise background before Bikram?
I Have always done some sort of exercise. I started as a runner, strength trainer and regular at the old Trim & Swim, but the last few years before Bikram had been primarily working out on the treadmill.
What specific physical issues, if any, did you have before taking your first class?
I was pudgy, inflexibility, had aches across shoulders, sore legs–normal afflictions for the ex-runner and the desk job.
What are the greatest benefits of your practice?
I feel much better and I have dropped many pounds and inches. I have aches in different places now as I progress in my practice but that is a good by-product.
How has this practice changed your health and life?
I have dropped a suit size and stand taller, straighter. I think I have taken years off my calendar age. If yoga would only grow hair!
Any emotional or other benefits?
The break from the world for each class is great. It took a while to control my mind to where I really am in the moment, but that is good now that I can be there.
What is your favorite part of Bikram?
Other than physical changes I have made and the community I have met, my favorite thing is to walk out the front door of the studio into a cool sunny day. The exposure to all the different people is good. So many individual stories, yet just one story in common.

What brought you to the Bikram yoga practice?
It was actually accidental. Dropped by a class and was hooked from the start been practicing ever since. Practice every chance I get and even seek out studios when I travel. I’ve practiced in New York, LA, Miami, Boston and lots of other Bikram yoga studios.
Will usually practice three to four times a week. Wish I could practice more.
Previously I had a personal trainer and ran. Now I just do yoga. Seems that I get a better work out and keeps my head clear.
When I moved to San Antonio in 2007 I gained 30 lbs, all that great Mexican food. Since I’ve up’d the number of days I practiced I’ve lost all the weight
and have much better mental health.
The greatest benefit that Bikram yoga has given me is calm. I’m more focused at work and an all around nicer person.
How has this practice changed your health and life?
What is your favorite part of Bikram?
Bikram Yoga San Antonio is a little different than other yoga studios in which I’ve practiced. What I love about BYSA is the people. Everyone here seems to honestly care and try hard to better themselves. What I’ve noticed is the students here are more engaged for instance there’s no walking in and out of the studio and its unusual to find anyone just hanging out in savasana . I feed off of that energy and have thrived in my work, home life and practice.
Anything else you would like to add?
Just want to thank Lisa & Steve for having such great dedication to the craft and sharing the wonderful gift of BYSA!

Tell us a little bit about yourself.
I am 46 and a business owner. I am the mother of a beautiful three year old daughter who lights my life up every day. My wonderful (and really hot) husband is licensed chiropractor and a professional bodybuilder. I own a full service salon (Salon de Frisk) on Blanco and 410, where I have specialized in permanent cosmetics for over 16 years.
What brought you to Bikram Yoga?
My good friend, Angela convinced me to try Bikram Yoga out. We had just had our children around the same time, and I was amazed with the results she got. After trying the introductory special, I was hooked. I continue to enjoy the intensity and focusing properties of yoga.
How often do you practice?
5 days a week (more if I could!)
What was your exercise background before Bikram?
I had a personal trainer who used a combination of cross training with weights and cardio to give me a full body workout.
What specific physical issues did you have before taking your first class?
During the years of 2004 and 2005, I had two lower back surgeries.
What are the greatest benefits of your practice?
I no longer experience lower back pain on a regular basis. While I feel that my whole body is strengthened and toned, Bikram Yoga has given me more energy, and mental clarity to help my busy lifestyle.
How has this practice changed your health and life?
I have always maintained healthy lifestyle, but Bikram Yoga has taken it to a whole new level of fitness.
What is your favorite part of Bikram?
I love the challenge, mental focus, and determination it takes to do the postures.
Anything else you would like to add?
I want to personally thank the instructors for inspiring me to come on a daily basis. I help people look beautiful, and I appreciate the same dedication from the instructors towards me. I am very honored to be selected for Bikram Yoga Student of the Month for March, may God continue to bless your business and all the great teachers.

Tell us a little bit about yourself.
I’ve been teaching middle school grades for the past 20 years, 6th grade reading 10 of the last 12 years here at Fort Sam Houston. I grew up as the daughter of a career Marine and married a career Army man, a guy I adore. I come from a fairly large, loud Italian family, so I like being around large groups of people and socializing. I’m organized and disciplined (see above upbringing), but I tend to try to squeeze too many things into any given day, so I’m always on the go. I relax best reading on the beach…any beach…or on one of the mini-vacations Greg treats me to….I have to be away from home to stop the frenetic pace I impose on myself.
What brought you to the Bikram yoga practice?
My ballet teacher, Judith Gani, started talking about Bikram. She was going to the Alamo Heights studio once in a while before Lisa and Steve opened the Hollywood Park location. She raved about the workout. I wasn’t getting enough class time, only two nights a week, with ballet and wasn’t happy with going to the gym, so when I saw the HP sign go up, I popped in to check it out. I was attracted by the 7 days a week and multiple class choice schedule. I also think some body types, like mine, respond better to stretching than muscle building exercises, so it was the perfect challenge for me.
How often do you practice?
It varies, but when I’m on-track and Greg is traveling, five times a week. My goal is always at least four days a week.
What was your exercise background before Bikram?
I’ve always been active. Throughout high school, I marched in a competitive drum and bugle corps. I’ve spent time in the gym on and off, dancing (you name it, I’ve tried it…from belly dancing and hula to ballet), I paddled on a competitive outrigger canoe team in Hawaii, I love to day-hike, and golf.
What specific physical issues, if any, did you have before taking your first class?
I had back surgery, a microdisectomy, in Hawaii, just before I moved to Texas. My body, despite all the exercise, has always been very tight, so I’m often very stiff and sore until I get moving and warm all my muscles up.
What are the greatest benefits of your practice?
I credit Bikram with reducing my stress level enormously. The first three years of my practice allowed me to continue teaching 6th graders. Up until then, I used to constantly update my resume every year and drive everyone around me crazy with my desire to change professions. I really do love teaching reading, despite my outward appearance when I get to yoga in the afternoon, so I’m very grateful!! Going to class is also a great way to get my aches and pains under control, to keep my back flexible, to relieve headaches, and to check out of the rat race and into a peaceful place for a couple hours.
How has this practice changed your health and life?
I think is helps me achieve the balance I’ve always sought to maintain. I’ve met a number of people, through Bikram who have helped in the journey toward achieving balance. I’d like to give a shout out to Hubert, ReBeca and Becky.
Any emotional or other benefits?
Being part of this Bikram family is a huge emotional benefit. There is always someone to vent to, to ask advice of, to share with, to laugh with, to cry with. It never fails that instructors and classmates alike notice when you are up or down and, instead of avoiding you, they jump in with both feet to ask what’s up.
What is your favorite part of Bikram?
How I feel after class!!
Of course, I love the people and love having had the opportunity to become part of a wonderful group. Lisa and Steve have created an amazing atmosphere of camaraderie. Everywhere I go, from boarding airplanes, to NIOSA, to checking out a new martini bar, I bump into “yoga” people. My other friends are always impressed by how many people I know….even when we don’t always know each other’s names!! The anniversary parties are awesome too!
Anything else you would like to add?
My goal is to look like I do now (although I’m always open to looking younger!) by continuing to practice Bikram for as long as I can.
I’d also like to thank the entire staff for recognizing my effort and for choosing me to represent January 2010!! I really appreciate the pat on the back!

Tell us a little bit about yourself
I moved to the US with my family about eighteen years ago in search of a cure to an illness my now departed wife suffered for most of her adult life. We tried time after time with different doctors in Mexico with no luck. Once we moved here, we were lucky to find an answer at the UCLA Medical Center that prolonged her life another 14 years. After she passed, about four years ago, my children and their families decided to relocate to San Antonio. Here, after discovering Bikram yoga, I started to experience a renascence phase on my life, I am 68 years old now and I never felt better!
What brought you to the Bikram yoga practice?
My son Jesus and his wife Toni invited me to practice the first time and I have been hooked ever since.
How often do you practice?
My practice varies anywhere from 3 to 5 times a week.
What was your exercise background before Bikram?
I used to walk or jog round 4 miles just about everyday. I also love going hiking with my family every time I get a chance to visit my old town in Mexico.
What specific physical issues, if any, did you have before taking your first class?
I used to have lower back pain which has subsided and mostly disappeared with this practice.
What are the greatest benefits of your practice?
On top of the health benefits I get, practicing yoga makes me feel positive, energetic, and stronger.
How has this practice changed your health and life?
On regards to my health, my doctor tells me that my blood pressure and cholesterol levels have been maintained well within safe levels; that in itself is a great change since I used to have problems with both. And I love the lifestyle.
Any emotional or other benefits?
Practicing Bikram yoga does not give you a chance to feel sad or depressed. It actually makes you feel GREAT! That is an excellent emotional benefit!
What is your favorite part of Bikram?
A ‘wise’ man (Steve) once said that his favorite part of Bikram yoga was SABASANA, I definitely agree with him.
Anything you would like to add?
I just want to thank you all; Lisa, Steve, and everyone else in the ‘family’ for making it painful (Lisa) and yet enjoyable. (No Steve, you do not get this one)
