Russ Tovar
Out of the blue, Russ woke up one day and decided that he was going to try yoga. He’s been hooked ever since.
Russ graduated from UTSA with a BA in English. He loves short stories, poetry, philosophy and art house films. Russ loves the outdoors. He backpacks, mountain bikes and loves to swim.
Yoga has helped Russ heal injuries from work and play: compressed disks in the lumbar, ankle reconstruction, nerve damage from lacerations on his elbow, and a broken collarbone. He says, “Yoga has kept me feeling young and has given me the energy to live a happy and full life. I have full range of motion despite my old injuries. I’m better than new.”
Russ love to fix things, especially that which would otherwise be thrown away. Bikram says, “It is never too late, you are never too sick and you are never too old to start from scratch once again.”
