What brought you to the Bikram yoga practice?
It was actually accidental. Dropped by a class and was hooked from the start been practicing ever since. Practice every chance I get and even seek out studios when I travel. I’ve practiced in New York, LA, Miami, Boston and lots of other Bikram yoga studios.
Will usually practice three to four times a week. Wish I could practice more.
Previously I had a personal trainer and ran. Now I just do yoga. Seems that I get a better work out and keeps my head clear.
When I moved to San Antonio in 2007 I gained 30 lbs, all that great Mexican food. Since I’ve up’d the number of days I practiced I’ve lost all the weight
and have much better mental health.
The greatest benefit that Bikram yoga has given me is calm. I’m more focused at work and an all around nicer person.
How has this practice changed your health and life?
What is your favorite part of Bikram?
Bikram Yoga San Antonio is a little different than other yoga studios in which I’ve practiced. What I love about BYSA is the people. Everyone here seems to honestly care and try hard to better themselves. What I’ve noticed is the students here are more engaged for instance there’s no walking in and out of the studio and its unusual to find anyone just hanging out in savasana . I feed off of that energy and have thrived in my work, home life and practice.
Anything else you would like to add?
Just want to thank Lisa & Steve for having such great dedication to the craft and sharing the wonderful gift of BYSA!
